I have been sewing since I was a teenager. I made my own wedding gown, my sisters wedding gown, and all the gowns for our bridal parties. When my husband and I were first married and our children were young, I would also make us clothes, as well as my children's Halloween costumes.
I have been an avid crafter and hobbyist my entire adult life. As my children were young I made chocolates. I would go through 500 pounds of chocolate preparing for the Easter season from January to March. Then I transformed that into a large stained glass studio, where I spent the next 17 years doing beautiful leaded glass, beveled glass, and soldered glass designs. This was my art and passion, until arthritis affected my joints.
At that time I returned to my roots: sewing. I love to sew, stitch, embroider, and have a general talent for doing so. I live in rural Ohio and I am so glad to have my own room in my home, just for my sewing!
